Seemed like a good idea

Today saw us wake a touch early - we may have gone to sleep a touch early last night so it figures - so we made good time to catch the train to Wolverhampton then got a cab to Wightwick Manor and a stitching class with Nicola Jarvis. There were 12 people in the class and they were a lovely bunch even thought most of them regularly attend classes together they were welcoming and very friendly. Everyone was a little stunned that we had only arrived yesterday and were attending class and it was only the last hour that we started to struggle. We had the option of 2 pieces both based on William Morris textiles  from the house. We both chose the flower and got down to some stem stitch and long and short. Poor Cheryl first time doing long and short with a touch of jet lag and a small complicated shape! By lunch the sky was blue so we took the opportunity to get some pictures of the outside. The building is a stunning example of a Victorian Manor house with a lot of arts and crafts details we are looking forward to the return visit to see the inside. A definite drop in temperature today but is was fine so can live with that. Tomorrow is our last day roaming Manchester.
